Ok well this is what i need to know, im trying to do the big 3..... done the other 2 wires and yes ive sdone this befor on my other car,,,, my problem is the dam alternator positive termanal nut will not come off for no matter what i try.... and in the process i ended up braking off the original 12gauge wire that was connected on it..... so i had to fix that problem and i manged to fin danother nut to fit on the remaining very small portion of the screw..

What does that wire on the alternator positive do and go??? like i know it send the power out but does it connect to the starter or does that wire just run directly from the Alt + terminal right to the battery + and thats it??? becuase if that is the case then cant i just not connect that wire and just run my 1/0awg from the alternator terminal to the battery and all is well??? ???? please help

i guess it could depend on what kind of car it is but it should run directly to the battery... in my ranger, i believe it does go to the starter and the battery though...

well i wasn't much help...

You're saying you ran a direct pos from alt to bat and you have that light come on? Sounds like your car has a sensor on the factory wire to detect voltage.
