Alternator install help??

Just installed a load boss 250 amp alt in my 99 explorer ohv 4.0. got the belt tensioner back on and started the car. it now makes a really loud high pitched squeeking noise. i figured it would have something to do with the belt but what can i do to fix it?

I had the same problem when I put on my H.O. Alt. Your truck needs a new serpentine belt tensioner. I replaced mine and the squeal went away. The spring does wear out.
