Alternator help

I am looking to upgrade to a HO alternator, but for a 98 corolla it is very hard to find one. Is it possibly better to just run two sock alts? For one I'm not ever sure if it is possible in my car, let alone me being able to make a bracket lol. Recommendations? Maybe you could try to find a link to one?
i personally think so. @MECHMAN is a great company and they will treat you right. what does your voltage drop to now?
As you see in my sig is my current setup, I really want more bass and power. My electrical is fine right now. I am considering putting in 2 18's, yes the can fit them. What I was thinking about was running somewhere between 3k to 5k watts. I know that after around 2k you gotta upgrade the alt. Obviously I have to throw in some agm's too. I have been thinking maybe some fi bl 18's? Something along those lines. My main goal though is to get 2 18's going that are at least 1500w a piece going. This will all happen over time, in steps, so this is probably the first step.

then yes i definately think the 549 is worth it. it is a big chunk of change to put down on a single piece of equipment, but over the years of wanging your system you'll save yourself a lot of headaches.

being no more than 2k on the stock 80a alt. what would you say not to go past on the 220a?

that depends on how big of a voltage drop you are expecting. you could proobably go as big as 4500 watts with the 220a alt and two group 31 agm batteries. maybe even more. thats your decision and it all depends on the car as well.

check out dc power engineering... high idle amperage.
I checked out dc a lil earlier, my car is too old lol they dont have any for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
