Poor Novice needs installation tips on budget setup!

Hello all. First post. I'm going to try and keep it short (ha!) and to the point since I am up past my bedtime. I'm also sure I will post more info than is needed, and probably less in some areas. Lemme know what you need!

'94 Volvo Sedan, Factory amp fried itself and started draining my battery when the car was off. Unplugged it but now have no tunes, and what better time to install a bunch of crap I have laying around?

And by crap, some is decent, some is crap. So it will probably all sound like crap.

Not going for lots of boom, just want some decent sound. I have a few options and will copy paste what I can so all the info should be here for you.

Head Unit- Pioneer DEH-2000MP

RMS Power Output-------14 watts

Peak Output--------------50 watts

RMS Power Bandwidth---20-20kHz

Preamp Outputs----------2-channel

Sub Preamp Output------No

Switchable Rear Preamp Output--No

Preamp Voltage----------2.2 volts

Amp-Rockford Fosgate Punch 200a4

RMS Power Output (Watts x Channels)-----25 x 4

Peak Power Output (Watts x Channels)-----55 x 4

Power at 2 Ohms (Watts x Channels)-------50 x 4

Bridged Power (Watts x Channels)----------100 x 2

Minimum Impedance Bridged---------------4 ohms

Minimum Impedance Unbridged------------2 ohms

Best Frequency Response-------------------20-200k Hz

Input Voltage--------------------------------13.8v

Amplifier Class-------------------------------AB

Low-Pass Crossover Frequency-------------80 Hz

Low-Pass Slope (dB/octave)----------------12 dB

High-Pass Crossover Frequency------------80 Hz

High-Pass Slope (dB/octave)---------------12 dB

Speaker Level Inputs------------------------Molex

Preamp Outputs-----------------------------1 pair gold RCA

Current Speaker Setup

Front-Infiniti Reference 6022i

Sensitivity----------------------93.4 dB at 2.83 volts

87.5 dB at 1 watt

Frequency Response-----------53 - 21k Hz

RMS Power Range (Watts)----2-60

Peak Power Handling (Watts)-180

Impedance (Ohms)-------------4?? *This is from crutchfield. The box says Nominal impedence 2.65ohms.

Rear-Crappy walmart Pioneer 6x9s

Off the box cause the net doesnt have anything on this junk

Reproduction system----coaxial 4 way

Nominal Impedence-----4 ohm

Sensitivity---------------92db

Max power--------------400w

Nominal power---------40w

Now the fun. I dont have to have, but would like to add a sub.

I have a 12" MTX Thunder 5500

Dual 4 ohm voice coil

300 watts RMS

A further note. I have Different set of Infiniti 6020cs I could use up front, while hodgepodging the 6022is to fit the 6x9 holes in the back.

These have seperate tweeters with external crossovers

Design---------------------------2-way

Sensitivity-----------------------93 dB

Frequency Response------------53 - 21k Hz

RMS Power Range (Watts)-----2-90

Peak Power Handling (Watts)--270

Impedance (Ohms)-------------2 *again, something weird. This time cruthfield says 2, but box says Nominal Impedance 2.65 ohms

Is there anyway to wire all this up thru the amp? Or perhaps can I run the front speakers and sub off of the amp, and run the pioneer rears off the deck? If I wanted to run the Infinitys all around could I run the front 6020cs and the Sub off amp and run the rear 6020i off deck? I'm a complete noob when it comes to stereos, and my setup was hard to find any kind of answers for on the web. Maybe they were right in front of me... but I dunno cause this is greek. Help?

Thanks in advance!

I've got some other crap to take care of so I can't take a ton of time here, but I will say, that Rockford amp is AWESOME and very underrated, my favorite series by them.

And if you don't want to buy anything new, you can still make it work.

I'd run your front speakers off 2 channels on the amp, and bridge the other 2 channels for the sub.

Then I'd run the rear speakers off the Pioneer head unit.

As for which speakers to use and what not, I don't wanna dig too far into reviews and specs :p But yes, it can all work! As long as you have the wiring harnesses and amp kits and what not.

i say put the infinitys in

the components in the front on the amp (you know the ones with the tweeters) and the rears off the amp

the mtx cannot be ran on that amp as it only wires to 2 and 8ohm which at 2 the amp isnt stable and at 8 your amp isnt making any power

put the mtx in a big ported box like 2.5cubes tuned to 34hz

a good amp that puts out 300 at 2 for cheap well id look at craigslist for a p3001 since you can normally find them for like 150-200

maybe an mtx ta2301 bridged at 2ohm which it can handle but these are pricey they used to cost dealers 230 and retailed like 340ish

a kicker kx300.1 or kx400.1 would work nicely as well. and iff you were to go new id recommend the incriminator audio 5.1

They aren't 2ohm stable bridge....thats most manistream 4channel amps.

I would definitely run the component speakers(the set with the separate tweeters) up front and not even have a read stage. I've done that in my lexus and I haven't had a problem with my subs drowning out my front stage.
