Alternator ground..

I finally did the big 3. I used 2 gauge wire since it was available for a decent price and I'm o nly running a stock alt and a few hundred watts for now... My question is, should I upgrade the alternator ground too? Would I benefit from doing so? It appears to be 12 gauge or smaller now.

ummm alternator's ground to the mounting bracket not sure hat your thinking is a ground ...

My alternator has a grounding point which is running at the same spot the battery negative is grounded. I dont know what else it would be besides a ground.

No pics, but it has to be a ground... This is an old car maybe it isnt grounded on the bracket.

some alts have a seperate/secondary ground on the case to the frame, yes do that one too, mine does

It's nice when you have a ground on your alt case. Less resistance than if you have to ground through your engine block.
