MTX 1501d Problems, goes straight to protect

EDIT:

im a retard..it does work, but it also does make a extremely loud high pitched humming sound...and it comes out the amp itself not the subs..

i had hooked it up the first time and forgot to plug in rca's

i heard the humming, saw a red light and automatically assumed it was in protect..then i tried hooking just the power ground and rem. to see if it was the load i gave it and to no avail...so i decided to do a lil research and saw some vids on youtube and realized that the light is supposed to me red..haha...

so my new question, is this normal for the 1501d to do? its really annoying and can hear it in my car if the music is at low volume

Power supply could be fryed. Does it get warm really quick?

Well, i left it on for a couple minutes and it didn't get hot..any other help?

I'm sure the 1501D isn't 1 ohm stable, did you wire the subs right?

yup, its wired to 2ohms
