I have a 65 Mustang and am tweaking my setup. (Mostly old school) Here are the specs.

Soundstream Angina 200watts RMS powering 2 Soundstream XS10's

Soundstream Rubicon 604 80x4 channel powering Polk DB components in the front & 6 x 9's in the rear.

Kicker 3.5" Coax's in the stock center dash location powered by the deck for a cheap center channel controlled via a L-pad.

Also have a Soundstream BLT4

Custom Autosound Secret Audio deck

Carputer & 7" Touchscreen

520 RMS total.

I am thinking of moving my Optima Red Top (main battery and only battery) to the trunk. I have a Powermaster 100amp alt. Do you think I will have a problem with the Powermaster charging the trunk mounted battery?

I may be swtiching to a HC1400 and getting rid of the Optima.

Grounds from the starter to the firewall / engine block to the frame have been upgraded to 4 guage. Solenoid moved to the trunk. Battery to the frame 1/0 welding wire. Battery to the starter 1/0 welding wire. (Since the solenoid has been moved to the trunk the 1/0 starter wire is only powered while cranking) 8 guage from the battery to the engine compartment for the original car fuse block & accessories.

First off. Thanks for the quick replies.

I am not sure of length. The 1/0 for the starter wire would be run under the car. The 8 guage was going to be run inside the car. If I were to upgrade the 8 guage to 1/0. I am not sure if I could run it inside the car. But, maybe I should just make it all 1/0 and call it quits.

So, I guess if I go 1/0 with everything charging shouldn't be a problem? If I had to guess on length. 18 feet???
