Alternator charging at 15.4 volts after doubling big 3. Is this ok???

Example: xs power states on there website not to charge batts higher than 14.6 volts. Most batts over that start to bubble and release oxygen. Once that's gone you can't put it back thus killing the battery slowly.

i just clamped both 1/0 ga runs from alt and total of about 35amps. radio on but not turned up, amps on, headlights on, idling at 5-600. is this normal since its just a remanned stock alt?

Didn't know that about xs thanks for the heads up

Yes, although on a stock alt having 2 runs of 1/0 is way more than that alt can put out. You have ~500-600a of current carrying abilities.
