alternator cable fuse

just checking folks, i am doing the big 3 today using 4 guage cable and am wondering, if i am fusing the wire from the alt to the batt would using a 120amp fuse be ok or is that to big

I never fused mine but if ya do......how big is ur alternator?

yeah fuse according to your alt output.. or the wire size...

its just a stock alternator so think it will be about 70/80 amps

remember that if you're just adding this wire on (and not replacing the stock wiring) you dont have to be carrying the full load on it... well that doesnt make sense and i cant think of how to say it but u know... lol
