OK...because I can't find a H.O. Alternator for my car ANYWHERE on the net or a store for a reasonable price...is this really a must?....Big 3 in 0 Guage Wire...0 Guage Amp Kit....Kinetik KHC 1800 Power Cell in the back and a Optima Red top Starting battery....I plan on getting a H.O. Alternator when I find one for a reasonable price of course...but will I be alright in the mean time for a couple weeks while I am searching? I think all of the above would suit a Power Acoustik A3000DB for a month or couple weeks....anybody think I'd be OK?

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo...and I have no clue on the amount lol...not even the slightest...but I think I'll be ok for the time being...I just went out and took a look at my alternator...my stock is 132 amps....which isn't my goal obviously...but it's better then 95-105 amps...

There are plenty of alternators for Grand cherokees. I know because I had one.

You can also get your current one or any core alt rewound for a higher amp. Cost about $50-100.

Look for MeanGrean alternators. Expensive but highly rated.

And try asking at jeepforum.com if you need jeep stuff.

Your name isnt justin is it?

Also ever try the place on 8mile between sheonerr and grosbeck? I forget the name but there very reliable, experts in alternators!

there are probably 50 different alternator's online for a grand cherokee. if your stock alt is 132 though chances are unless it's a big case, you can't get it rewound much higher than the like's of 150amps which is only about 60 at idle. I'd look into ohio gen again expensive but quite good.

I think you will be fine. 132 is very good for a stock alternator. My buddy had 2 offbrand 3000w amps and 2 audiobahn 1508ts in his pt cruiser. lights dimmed a little, but no electrical problems. Not the smartest thing ive ever seen anyone attempt, but it worked.
