Well then you need to figure out how much current you're drawing and try to supply it. If it killed a 200a, either that alt was junk or it was drawing way more than 200a. The answer seems pretty clear pal.

 
Current is drawn. It's not forced. If your amp draws it, it will put out 310 amps. Will that blow your fuse? Maybe after like 2 or 3 years at a constant 310 amps of draw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
