alt upgrade

anyone on here ever gotten an alternator upgrade for a luxury car like a benz or a bmw.

in my taurus and boneville the alternator was right on top, changing it was as easy as changing an amp, but in my MB c220 the alternator is under a bunch of stuff and i'm not sure if there is a huge difference in it being a german car.

well my bmw is the same everyones been saying its easy to install but i looked at mine and its under a bunch of crap and seems really hard to get to. Did u buy an alternator for urs or kno how much ull be paying for one?

done themin plenty of import cars: vw, audi, toyota (lexus) honda (acura). Never a Beemer but if you order from a reputable mfg. like alterstart they will make it so it will fit right in place of the others. Best to have the car on a lift if possible if its buried underneath things.

dammit, alterstart doesn't make HO alts for my car and i haven't seen any other palce taht does make them for mercedes. i'll look a little harder though...

i just called and talked to them. i'm not sure if it was the same guy. i am about to put up a new post tough about this.
