i am thinkning about changing my alternator in my 1995 mercedes c220. is it as simple as swaping the alts or are their other considerations?

my alt is only 90A so i'm thinking of going up to at least 120A, maybe 150A,if i can find a place that has it.

i've gotten a wide range of prices (i called about 8 places in Chicago so far) from about $160-$700.

anybody from Chicago or Illinois that knows a good place that you think can get me a HO alternator for my 95 c220 MB?

If it's a direct bolt-on alt, then replacing it is pretty straightforward.
