alt. question

i have a 1975 cadillac coupe deville and i wanted to buy a new ho alt. but i have heard that there are 2 different types for the fuel injected and carbureted engines. mine is carbureted and i was gonna get a 135 amp alt from alterstart but it doesnt say anything about being for fuel injected or carbureted. will the alt work anyways or do i need a different one. any help would be much appreciated

The only difference I can think of off the top of my head is the FI could be serp belt while the carb is a v-belt? Not sure just a stab at it.
