uh maybe its just me, but if your stereo doesnt seem as loud with the car on... it COULD possibly just be that the MOTOR IS ON? just a thought here... considering motors arent exactly silent.

No. The bass hits harder when I turn the key to the OFF position and I have an Honda Accord EX so it you can't really even hear the engine running when it's parked. Going to test it today or tomorrow so I can get in on the irragi deal if I have to get a new one. not going to do it if I don't have to though cause the cars got a lot of miles. Will let you know how it turns out...

ok so I tested the battery and got 12.6 V w the car off and 14.6 w the car running...but I was unable to test the alt because I'm not sure which lead is positive... there are two wires that I can see connected to the alt and they both run into the same group of wires amd run down behind the block where I can't see to trace them back...there are two marks on the case one kind of looks like a plus sign not to sure tho it doesnt look like a normal plus sign and the other one has the letter b on it

how can I figure out which wire is +?

i know ive seen B+ to identify power or ground I just cant remember which is which. i really hope the alt isnt going cause its buried under the antilock brake pump and all the pumps have their own belts uggh

the plus USUALLY has some RED involved. It sounds like your alty's workin' though.

With the car running, check the input voltage to the amp/s. My guess is wiring or ground issue, but it's only a guess.

Mine does the same thing its weird but its more when i push on the gas. And then when i stop it gets louder again
