My alt. is basically on the bottom of the engine block.. and I don't have a jack.. I'm just wondering how visible this positive lead might be that I need to find on the alternator.. and maybe I can just squeeze under the car or sum shit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

gotta mitsubishi galant 2001.. anyone have any luck or tips doing the Big 3 on that?

you will have to end up taking that wheel off and the shroud to get to it. my saturn is like that, and your car should have came with a jack my friend, if not, you got ripped off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

umm what wheel and shroud? sorry i should probably have some kind of dictionary handy aha

i actually have a jack but it really is a piece of crap and from my times using it to change spares i've thought how I would never crawl under the car with it holding it up.. maybe I'll just buy a real jack..

but would it be easier to get at the Alt from the underside or should I go about trying to remove stuff from the topside of the block?

hmm.. i dont think i have a shroud.. you saying its above what wheel though? ://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif:

im thinking maybe I'll take pictures of my engine stuff tomorrow and see what kind of suggestions I can get.. maybe you guys can see a shortcut that I would probably miss..

well prolly the tire on the same side of the car as the alt has to come off. then behind that is a peice of plastic designed to stop water from getting in. remove that and you should be looking at you pulleys.

ohh your sayin wheel as in tire.. aha gotcha - well that sucks for me because I can't take my wheels off without a sledge hammer.. learned that from trying to change my flats and having AAA come down when I failed and watched them not even able to take off my wheels..

only a lil mexican guy with a sledge hammer can manage to take off my tires

Rust? Or wrong sized rims? You should get that fixed.

neither.. when the wheels are originally put on sometimes there is some kind of extra layer of somethin coated on there.. sealant or something but its not rare for tires to have to be forced like that..
