Alt or Batt? biggest gain?

The alt i know is the source of power in any whip, but your amps see what your battery is giving it. wouldn't the battery make the biggest difference with voltage drops?

or is it that the alt (if h/o) would supply it quick enough, and with enough juice that the batt would never get a low volt. drop?

but aren't alts delayed? the kick in when needed, not at the same time as needed? (if that makes sense)

basically what im asking is, which would you see the best gain from - gettin a new h/o alt, or changing the front stock battery?

(which should i do first?)

word yeah no burps or comps for me. all daily bumpin.

for right now im only going to be pushin 1.2k watts.

i have an SAZ 2000d but im just putting to mach audio mj 18m's @ 2 ohms, (no more that 1000 watts.) and 60x4 for mids an dhighs. if i could, id like to just do a big batt up front, and i guess now a solid alt.

ive looked into mechman. how big should i go?

ive heard if i go too big (like 220 (i think)amp 150 idle amp) it owuld burn out quickly.

or is that an ok alt size?

idk i would have to check but steve meade, whos well known for being an expert on caraudio has eraggi alt.'s so they cant be too bad.. lol
Buy one from Iraggi have a problem then see if you can get a hold of him. Of course he will answer when he sees it's meade on the phone.

Thats what I've heard anyway.
