Alpine V12 amp mounting question?

Sorry for this lame question... I'm thinking of getting an Alpine V12 amp with Amplifier Link, either the F545 or the F345, and I'm trying to figure out a good place to mount it in my car. Is it OK to mount it upside down under the rear shelf? I've downloaded the manual and read it, but it only says to not block the air vents.

Since heat rises I wouldn't do it...

Its not recommended, most likely it would be ok depending on where you live. You could always blow a fan across it and that may be ok. If its high powered i definetly wouldn't do it though.
