i hav a w6v2, and it is an amazing sub, sounds great and can get loud... but its all up to you on what you want to run, if you can, try to demo as many different drivers as you can, then make your decision from there. o yea and that alpine unit you got there... i'd keep it, it is an amazing headunit, and not much can compare with it on today's market...
