Well, I have no experience with none of those decks 1st off. But from what i've read, the nak has great sq, but have alot of reliability issues.

Pioneer has time alignment, flexible crossovers, & other goodies. not badly priced either. sq from what I've read is pretty good.

This clarion will probably give you the best sq (based in prior experience with clarion), but no time alignment & cost probably twice as much as the pioneer. I see you have a component set so a hpf is good enough for you. Don't know if it does have hpf or not. website not very clear on that.

Again I have not heard any of these deck's. good luck.

I will agree that Nak makes a phenominal deck but the CD-400 isn't one of their great offerings. The CD-400 is Nakamichi's attempt to break into the lower priced market. I just don't see the 400 offering anthing even close to what the 880 offers.

As far as the Clarion is concerned I couldn't see paying that much more for the Clarion. The 880 is a MUCH BIGGER BANG FOR THE BUCK.

Just my .02 of course.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Another deck to consider is the clarion drz9255. It can be had for 800 bucks. One of the best sq decks out there in that price range. It has all the time alignment & crossover goodies and then some. Only drawback is it's not a face off & not satellite ready.

Here is 1 review on it

There are many more reviews on the web.

I'm torn between the pioneer & clarion drz9255. But, if the clarion was a face off, it would of been in my truck already.

So I take it theft is big concern where you live?? I have to say I am lucky and live in an area that doesn't have much at all yet. I've accidentally left my car unlocked over night a couple times and nothing happened.

As far as high quality decks I can't wait til I get my next car so I can finally install my P9 combo into a vehicle. The P9 has detachable face too. But for now I'll just have to keep enjoying my 860.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i've looked into P9 combo. Great set, but on the expensive side.

I live in chicago. Nice city but like in any other big city, you have crack hypes that won't hesitate to take your shi*t. I once caught a hype red handed in my garage. I let my pitbull loose on him. Chewed up his ear pretty good. Hype came back for revenge with a big knife & my dog got him again. He did slice my dog's nose a little bit. Pissed me off. I hate when animals get hurt.
