Alpine Type S vs MB Quart Premium subs?

Which are the better sub? My friend says that his 2 10" MB Quart Premium subs will out pound my 2 12" Type S subs. True or bulls***?

I always thought MB Quart sucked *** for subs, but their speakers were awesome?

Ok let me start here.

MB Quart sub=overpriced you really dont get want you pay for other than the name.

Alpine Type S= Very good sub for SQ and dosent cost much.

Both do well in SQ and are about the same over all. Ive heard both and would never buy one or the other due to a little more money you can get eDk's that would kill both sub. But thats just me.
