Hey all, has anyone had any experience with the alpine type S 6.5's? Looking to get some, but not sure how good they are.

I wanna know what ppl say too. But from what I remember when I was looking into them is they are just okay. Apparently they have very little midbass. But like I said, ppl basically told me they were just egh. Just okay.

I listen to a pair at bestbuy and they seemed decent. You can get better buying used but if that isnt your thing I'm sure you can keep shopping around.

id pass personally maybe try and swing the amp for a deal, but i found the mid to lack quite a bit and get muddy with relatively any bass going trough them. the tweets were laid back though iirc. i had a set in sealed up and deadened doors in my 99 silverado for a short while powered by a rockford prime r150x2 with about 60 watts ran to them. in bestbuy they will sound alot different than in a car because of the room they are in. for example they seem stupid loud in the store but not in a car.

They ****, look for something else. What is your budget and goals? Anything under type-r in alpine isn't really worth buying and type-r can easily be outdone for the price they charge.
