Alpine TYPE-R subs

they are excellent subs, feed em lots of power in a nice sealed box and you will be veeeeery happy with them

they are a SQ sub with great bump...

excellent all around...

The Type R Series from Alpine is awsome. The subs maintain great SQ and when fed the correct amount of watts with the proper box, will hit really hard. One of my friends had only 1 15" Type R, put it in a sealed box and blew out the windows of his canopy....you wont go wrong with Alpine.

sup guys, just picked up the Alpine 12" Type R (dual 4 ohm) sub...OMG!!!!!!! it hits so **** hard and clean! i got them both at my local shop for 170 bucks for a single box and the sub. hits super hard, yet is so clean, i'm pushing 560 watts bridged to it.

i don't know much about the "type R" alpine subs, but i do know that the "type S" which are featured in "The Fast and The Furious" don't really hit hard. tell your friend he is an idiot....i had 2 10's and they were awesome, loud and clean, i know 2 people who have the type s 12's and they hit quite nice.....feed em lots of power and put em in a sealed box and they are awesome....

i hit 143 with my 15 inch type r and it's still clean as hell sq wise....

I think we have a slight descrepency...i am talking about the AlpineType S Subwoofers...not the type R's...from what i heard the type R's are far better than the type S's...allthough in my opinion, Alpine should just stick to head units, and amps...Im more of a Visonic guy when it comes to subs...I used to be a slave for JL until i heard that somtimes the rubber surround tends to split when you use them too much...Of course this didn't sway me from picking up 2 13.5 inch W7's... yes i was also referring to type s's, i would reccomend them any day for

a budget sub.....they are clean and loud...

Yeah I just picked up 2 15" Type R's (2ohm+2ohm) myself, and they are awsome.

Sigh...i wish you people would get off your Alpine trip...i mean i have nothing against them but they are just one of my most unfavorite subwoofers...Maybe as alpine comes out with more subwoofers i will take more of an intrest in them...but until then i will continue to run my 2 15" Visonic Comp. Subs off a 3200 watt Visonic amp...now try hooking up two of your alpine's to my 3200 watt amp...see if there is anything left of those "bad boys" ROFL...sorry, but it had to be said...even one subwoofer from my last system (consisting of 4 JL W3's bridged paralell with 2 JL 500/1 amps) would blow an Alpine type S OR type R out of the water ...anyways, fun arguing with you people...see ya! and as always check out my w7's (which are going in soon!) http://www.geocities.com/theconge/13W7pic.jpg see yah!

this has got to be the most retarded post i've ever seen. first of all...just cuz you got TWO 15" subs, and pushing 3200 watts...what does it sound like? probably just all **** bass. most likely the people using an alpine type r sub is just building a nice clean sounding system. anyone can make a system loud...it's when building the system for clairty and crispness is the hard part. if i wanted tons of bass...i'd go with some cervin vega strokers...that's stupid bass right there...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
