Sold Alpine Type R And Type S

is there a big difference between the ALPINE SWS-1242D and the ALPINE SWR1242 im looking to buy some new alpine subs but i dont know what would be better for me to get can yall help me out?

Statistically The S's Are Supposed To Be More Sq Oriented. They Are More Sensative....

I've always wanted to know FOR SURE what the different 'type's were supposed to accomplish.

Alpine doesn't come out and say what their target usage was for each of their subwoofer types, they just claim great SQ, Power Handling, and loudness from all of them.

what the hell is the difference?

people on here always say the x's are more of a SQ oriented speaker, but on other forums, they all talk about how insane loud they are.......

i'd like to hear the difference FROM ALPINE one of these days.

Whether they're simply different price range speakers, or different useages, i've always wanted to know for sure.

This has been talked about many times before on here. E's are there lowest budget woofer and are ok, but just nothing to write home about. S's are just a little better and have better ratings on them. The R's are more geared toward spl and the X's are geared for sq.
