Alpine Type-R 6.5s or JL XR 6.5s?

both of those sets are pretty harsh on the ears.. Are those your only 2 choices?

Unplug your ears next time you listen to XR's

I have Type-R 6x9s, and I love them. They get super loud, while staying very clear.
Those 6 X 9's type r are some of the worst I've ever heard

To the OP:

Go with XR, that 3 way kit makes a superb front stage kit

so definitely JL XR>Type R?

i could always go a different route if i sell my Type-R and JL Xr 6.5s, will keep the 5.25 XR though. Will probably get $100 out each from Type R and JL comps.

what im trying to avoid is adding another amp to power a 3rd set, is it ok to use the front channels and the rear chanels on my alpine for the 6.5s and 5.25s?

never heard of that brand, ill check it out. not looking to spend a whole ton on car audio anymore. need to do something better with my money lol

I would just go with a ported box tuned from 32 hz. - 35 hz.
