Alpine - Type R 6-1/2's (Components), worth the money?

The neodymium motor midrange may sound fine, but one thing I read in many reviews is that SPR-60C tweeters are not very good. In the end, it's hard to think what else to get at Best Buy. Can they hook you up with a set of Polk Audio MM6501 components? These are not without flaws, but they're considered pretty good.

Components, not coaxial. And for $300 there are much better options.
Probably not at BestBuy prices. And last time I was there, all I saw were some lower end Alpine, Polk, Kicker, Kenwood and may be a sony on the speaker board..

you can fit a 6.5 in a 6x8 opening pretty easily.
I see there are adapters for that actually now, thank you for pointing that out. Can anyone post links as to what I should be looking at? All I found last night was some of the CDT ES series stuff, but for $500+. I don't think i'm going to go with the Type R's. I plan to spend no more than $400 on them
