Alpine Type R 12" vs Sundown SA12s

Dont mean to start a flame war but pricing is comparable between the two. My box is a sealed enclosure for 2 12s with approx 1.0ft volume per sub. Wondering which would be better and if there is another sub in this price range to suggest over these, Im all ears.

Everybody on here is going to tell you Sundown. They are both good subs. Both can get loud if set up right, both can sound good also. Both can take some power, Sundown a bit more so but not much

 
Havent heard the sundowns personally, but I can say without a doubt the type r's are great subwoofers for the money. I love mine.
'Zactly. You can find Type Rs for $97 shipped, you can't beat what it puts out for what you pay.

I would just go with a ported box tuned from 32 hz. - 35 hz.
