Alpine type-r 12" (swr-1241D) power

Hey, can the DVC Alpine 12" type-r (swr-1241d) handle 500w RMS?? It's rated 300W RMS, 1000W Peak, so would 500W or 600W be safe? I'm trying to pick an amp out for two 12" type-r's. perferably mono 1-ohm stable or two channel 2-ohm stable. I'm thinking of getting the JBL BP600.1 and running it at 1-ohm. Would more power then the JBL to these subs produce harder and louder bass?

i been running mine with 800 for like 2 months...

prolly not to smart of me but yea

id just get a JBL 600.1 or something like that its underrated anyway. My friend has this setup on his 2 10's R's and its awesome.
