I've been looking at the alpine subs, whatdo you guys think? I like the R series, but what about the S's? I haven't heard anything either way.

Just bought 2 type r 12,s running on a jbl 1200.1 , they really pound and sound very good ! good mix of spl and sq , Best i have tried so far , have had comp vr,s , round solo baric 12,s , polk dx10,s , these type r,s are by far the best out of these !

I agree! I have the exact same setup and they pound!!! Go with the R's
