Alpine subs vs MTX subs

im laughing alot now... alpine subwoofers dont compare to mtx subs.. nuff said

HAHA what are you talking about. Good brands but totally depends on what you're looking for. The MTX will get a good amount louder. But the alpines will sound way nicer. Never cared for mtx old subs(could have been cuz I was 16, didnt know shit and had them in prefab box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ), don't have nothing against the knew ones. I was actually bumpin my bro 2 7500 for a while last year, some decent subs. My vote is for a type x 12, or 2 of the new type r's when you can get them. They can be had for around 300-320. If you know how to talk to a salesman.

MTX sucks, yea theyre loud but the sound quality sucks even on there high end stuff and build quality is the worst in the buisness i had 2 7500s and i blew the magnet right off the back of them! yea mtxs are reeeeeeeaaaaalllll sweet LOL

yes as in i wasnt running alot of power, all of a sudden the subs were cutting in and out so i took them out of the box to check the connections, and the magnets FELL OFF THE SUB! i called MTX and they said it wasnt under warranty, BUT they did say theyve had numerous complaints of the same kind and theyre looking into it! HOW IS IT NOT UNDER WARRANTY THEN! MTX CAN GO TO HELL. all the equipment sucks 2 words

This thread cracks me up...

MTX's only decent SQL sub is the 9500. THe 8000's are miserable, 6000's aren't worth 50 bucks, and well the 4500 or whatever they are now, they are good for a 13 year old.

Alpines E and S **** miserably, would not ever contenplate buying one. Type-r was my first choice in a sub a few years ago, they were out, ended up getting a diamond CM3 and could not be happier. Havn't heard the Type-x, and I have a feeling no more than 2 in this thread have actually heard it in car, but I've heard they are quite nice.

But all in all, who really gives a shit....
