Alpine subs vs MTX subs

In your personal opinion, which sub would you choose?

Also, overall, which subs would you buy (any brand) if you were to only spend in the area of $300 for each sub retail?

Alpine...Especially only for around $300...because they make very nice cheap subs. MTX though I don't really like them. Just my opinion and thats all your asking for. So I would go with the Alpine Type-R then. Or get 2 Type-S's. But the only MTX I would ever even consider is the 9500 series. and thats out of the $300 range.
