no by changing the port lenght allows u to change the tuning of the box

so a 2.0 cubic feet box would be good for a alpine type-s 12" than i can ajust the port lenght

yess... the longer the lower, but its more scientific than that, it has to be a certain width and a certain length....

a word of warning from experience type s subs are bad in ported unless they are a fluke or are designed perfectly i made a singl box for min and it was *** but my 2 in ported boxes that were designed for them are just nice so either way i would go 0.9 foot sealed for a single 10" before displacement and 1.2 for a single 12" before disp

im in the process of having someone make a ported for me.....about 2 cubes per sub after displacement tuned to 35hz gettin 190 watts each.....is that gonna ****?
