so, i lent my neighbor the amp mentioned in the title, and it takes a 25 amp fuse. When he returned it the other day, it had a 40 amp fuse in it... ugh... LoL

Probably. I got the amp for free from a friend several years ago along with a jl 10". I sadly gave the sub away to another friend who very likely did away with it
