*BTW*I did try to search this question and I didn't find anything to help me. I am sorry if this question has already been answered.*BTW*

Hello everyone. I just bought an Alpine MRD-M1000. The power comparison between the amp and speaker is a little off but not some much that is shouldn't work at all together. Ok I am using a db drive 12 the handles 750w RMS. This amp is rated at 1000w RMS. I figure that I could just adjust the level on the amp down to where it will work but I get extreme popping no matter what. As soon as I adjust the 1-2 Level up, with the HU turned up to maximum desired volume, where is begins to start getting loud the sub all the sudden starts violently moving in and out causing popping.

I need someone that has experience with this digital series of amps from Alpine PLEASE! I know that if I use trial and error long enough that I will figure it out but I really don't think that the sub is gonna make it that long. Below is a list of the setting description and the current configuration. Keep in mind that I have adjusted the input level in slow increments but is seems to jump to popping. Like there is no middle ground in volume.

PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE! PLEASE!

I have the same amp, but mine is hooked up to a single 12w7ae(3ohm) I know that this amp has enough to power it. I just need some help in getting the settings correct. Previous amp was a Xtant X1001 and when it worked properly it would make the sub bump good. The MRD-M1000 sounds good, but doesnt/isnt getting as loud.

Is your subwoofer level turned all the way up on your HU? I would try setting your gains with all the crossovers set at 80hz. Are you driving when this happens? I'll get an occasional pop if I'm giving a demo and somebody opens the passenger door. What kind of box is the sub in?

Any indication that a loose wire may be the issue? I'd start by checking all the +/- connections to see if one has come lose or is starting to...
