Alpine IVA W205 vs Alpine CDA-9887

you can but unfortunately if you are running a two way setup, the highest crossover setting it'll go is 200hz i think one one of the outputs and 400hz on another or something. that is definitely not good for 2 way front stage.

does the alpine website confirm this anywhere? i dont see where it says whether or not either one is bandpassable.
also, the f350 has more bands of parametric eq. and im guessing on the h701 you can use either the parametric or the graphic eq, not both? their specs are pretty vague on both these units...

The F350 and the H701 both have 17 bands of parametric eq. The H701 also has a 31 band graphic eq.

The H701 allows up to a 30db crossover slope vs 24db on the F350.

The F350 does NOT have bandpass crossovers. The H701 does.

The H701 allows for an active front stage with 4 front channels instead of 2.

The F350 has only 5 very weak channels. This completely negates the "advantage" of having built-in amplification. In fact, I would consider it a hindrance. I'd rather be able to use my own amps downstream from the processor (which has 8 channels). Much more control and flexibility.

How many optical inputs does the F350 have? The H701 has three.

In my opinion, the H701 is far superior for the serious enthusiast.
