Alpine iDA-X305S + iPod

hi guys,

I have alpine head unit and I'm not quite satisfied with ipod navigation integrated there. And everytime I plug in my ipod alpine intercepts the control and block the input within the device. I wonder if there's any chance I can reprogram my iDA to leave the apple control to itself?

It is supposed to do that there is nothing you can do about it. Why not just control it through the headunit? It's easy to navigate

I just dont like it and get used to old-style ipod software. Maybe someone has a custom firmware for it? no?
