I have a 9835 I thought I would never part with but Ipod controls and USB are things I really want. I no longer require 3-way active in the headunit. An Xover is a must though and an EQ is a big plus. I was looking at hte CDA-117 but I have seen some negative reviews of the USB interface. I need a CLEAN unit for an oldschool SQ build I will be doing later this year with Audio Art amps (no Xovers) Thx for any advice.

i actually just chose the kenwood x995 over the cda - 117 its coming in on thursday and im pretty pumped. ive heard a lot of bad things about newer alpine head units and i decided not to get one. a lot of people are saying without imprint, alpine head units are not worth it. ive heard a ton of good things about the x994 and x995.

i would highly recommend the eclipse cd5030. mine just died and was not repairable. id buy another in a second but i couldnt find one anywhere. if u get a chance to get an eclipse, do it.

idk how much you want to spend - but the pioneer 80prs looks **** as hell. it is active xover though. theres a lot of talk about that hu. hopefully it lives up to the hype.

well i have a pioneer deg p9800bt with the ib200 ipod modual, has 3 sets fo 5v pre outs 16 band seperate right and left eq along with extensive cross over, and time alinghnment plays full 24bit etc... pm me if your interested.
