hi, i just got my alpine head unit yesterday and it is pretty sweet but i am wondering how to tune it to make it sound best for my subs and i was wondering what the high pass filter and low pass filter was on my deck and what does it do and should i use it????

go to the alpine website and use the i-personalize feature. it provides help on how to customize your sound. also, there's a thread on here about different settings other people use on their alpine hu's. the high pass alows anything higher than the set frequency to pass. the low pass alows anything lower than the set frequency to pass. the high pass is generally used for the highs while the low pass is used for the sub.

hey boister how do you like your brahma? if i got the bx1500d it's between the xxx and brahma. since you have one you'd probably say yours is better but what are the issues with the cone coming apart or something? i'm probably totally off on the description but what are the problems people were complaining about?
