if I'm sitting at a stop light and a low note drops my head unit shuts off, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif I upgraded my alternator and my charging wires so there is no dipping in my RPM's any more but the head unit is still rebooting it self!

I have heard I need to stop being lazy and install my 4 ch amp, my speakers are clipping and turning the amp off, to run a 8 or 10 gauge power and ground to my head unit straight from the batt (fused of course) because the deck itself is going below 10 volts?

Any ideas thanks guys

I don't know if this is right or not, Someone correct me if I'm wrong , But would the H/U Be shutting down because The amp Is pulling To much Power Away from the H/U, When a Low Bass hits?

If So cant you run the Remote Turn on into the fuse box to a Fuse that Switches on with the Key?

No a remote wire is to send a signal to a external amp to tell it to power on that wont make any difference to run it to a fuse box. What I was just thinking is take your volt meter and hook it up to the wires in the back of the head unit one to neg one to pos and watch it see if that continues to send juice when the head unit shuts off.

umm, **** this had more replies then I thought, But yes I was thinking about running 10 AWG straight from the battery to the head unit, my head lights don’t dim but the head unit still flickers then shuts off..... so yes I'm thinking the amp is taking all the current from the deck, if I put the meter to it and see it drop would my idea of running the power wire straight to the battery or to a accessory wire work, and do I really need 10 AWG to do it?

Stock harness

Current setup kicker zx1500.1 and a 15”audioque HDC3

No I haven’t put my 4 channel in yet so the speakers are running off the head unit

Hope I answered everything
