Alpine Amp question

I got an MRV-M1200 to run two Alpine type R 10's but it only rates power down to two ohm? Do Alpine amps not run stable at 1 ohm? If they do why do they not rate them at 2400 besides max power instead of RMS? I can't seem to confirm nor deny anywhere on line that they can run at 1 OHM was hoping someone had experience with these to help me out!

Your amp can do 600 @ 4 ohms and 1200 @ 2 ohms mono. Depending upon your subs impedance, you can only run that amp 2 ohms, 1200 watts.

The 2400 watt mark max output is peak power. They do that to almost everything.....it's dumb I know but also a marketing thing. You wanna look at rms, peak is only for a few seconds or less. rms is continuous.
