Alpine all the way! Suggestions please!

So I'm pretty new to the car audio world but have read massive amounts of info online to get me up to speed a bit. Now the system I want to put in my 95 Geo Prizm is ALL Alpine Type R equipment minus the deck and amps of course.

Front speakers - 5 1/4 Alpine Type R Component set ( will be recieving 50 rms each from alpine amp)

Back Speakers- 6 1/2 Alpine Type R Coaxial - (will be recieving 50 rms each from alpine amp)

4 Channel amp- Alpine MRP-F300

Now were I'm a bit confused is matching the sub with the amp... mainly in regards to the Ohms. This is what I have matched... does this look good?

Alpine MRP-M1000 Amplifier -600 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (1,000 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)

Alpine SWR-1243D Subwoofer -:

12" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils

300-600 watts RMS (300 watts per coil)

Chances are I'm going to have this sub in a sealed enclosure since I don't listen to rap and would like tight accurate sound. Sounds pretty good, i use to run 2 1243D's off a PDX-1.1000 and it was a sick setup but you'll be fine wiring those at 2 ohms

Whats your budget im sure we can find something better. Espically the speakers. The trpe R sets dont sound all that good IMO.

No I'm going to have best buy do the install. I'm going to go with just 1 12 for now, until I can afford to get a better amp. My budget is 1300. I've carted all the items on cruthfield and it comes to about 1250.00, the install is probably going to run 500 or more. I would do it but have never done it and want it done RIGHT. Figure I should note that I listen to mostly electronic music which involves fast bass, if i'm not listening to Florida Breaks I'm listening to Rock.

Well, the speakers and amps you want can be had for $750 if you don't buy them from Crutchfield. Also, I hope you plan to use some lube, because paying $500 for a basic install is the equivalent of being butt *****...

Pls dont buy from crutchfield, their shit is pretty expensive and you can find all that for way cheaper

I use their site to do research and compare products but i never buy from them

Im not gonna try to push you away from the products you've already choosen, but if you buy at retail you can get so much more for your money

And having stuff installed by BestBuy is almost as bad as buying from them simply cause their ish is so expensive

Take your time and install yourself, you'll learn a lot and save a lot of money

Alpine Store at Sonic Electronix.. Great customer service and ship the same day if you pay early in the day. There's plenty of places to find the same stuff for better prices, just google it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.. Amazon.com usually has low prices since they list things for sale from all sorts of companies.. Just look around.

Thanks so much everyone. I did go to Sonic electronics site and the prices were awesome but all the Alpine amps were on backorder. This would be a problem for me when it does come time to by... I will pay extra to have now rather then later. I want my toys!!!

Does anyone have any experience with the type R subs? The guy at best buy told me that these were best in a ported enclosure... I don't know certain subs were better in certain types of enclosures. I thought it had to do with the type of sound you were looking for.

Way better than the setup u listed i found all the stuff in a couple mins. You look around you can find it cheaper and from better sites.

And with the music you listen to id reccomend the type x over the r. X sounds waaaaaay cleaner. The R doesnt sound nearly as good. The r just gets loud. Im speakin from experience ive owned both.

Read up some more you can find better stuff than what ive listed. If i remeber ill check when i get home and try and build somthing better.

And for god sakes dont get the stuff installed at best buy
