I just ordered mine and it will be here tomorrow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It's replacing my Premier DEH-P880PRS. It should be pretty sick... I don't think you'll go wrong with it, especially after Imprint comes out.

pros...its has everything, does most things

cons..typical alpine..controls can be difficult to navigate, plus it only has 4v outs...would love to see true 8 volt outs on a Alpine

Why in the world would you need 8V's? Don't your amplifier's have gain controls? They are there to compensate for the head units output you know!

The are not, they are there to MATCH the headunits output.

Just like bonesninja said..... this unit has THE MOST features of any unit I have seen.... the only 2 down sides I can see to the unit, is:

1) Basic display - can't Alpine jazz things up? Look at the 980!

2) If you have a large collection of music (I have a 160gb ipod with over 14,000 songs, and over 1,600 artist), when I hit the 2nd preset, it jumps to the C's.... so the jumps are large... this is where the iDA comes into play... but nothing has as many features / control ...

3) the controls are awkward.... I guess one can get use to them.....

This is the most likely unit to go into my car... oh, and the parametric EQ, has presets, how sweet is that? Even the cross over has presets!

Doesn't have independant phase reverse though, i don't think.

love it! only thing that's frustrating so far is when searching thru, after listening to a song, is that it goes back to 'A' instead of the last artist played.
