Selling my CDA-9887, got my hands on my first love //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif, a 9813, so I'm letting this one go. The deck is in 9.5/10 condition, basically because its used. Absolutely no scratches. I have the box, manual, and will include the ipod connector. The deck is mint. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Alpine Type X Components SPX-177A. Great set of components, they were used in one of my first installs, theyve only got about 25-30 hours play time if that. They've been sitting in my closet WAY too long, I believe something like 3 years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Anyways, these comps sound great, they are known for having a really impressive midbass. The set includes everything except for the manual, and the extra woofer mounting rings. I do not have the original box, though I do have the styrofoam inserts, so I'll be putting this in my SPX-177R box and shipping it. Just goes to show how much I really enjoy these components, I bought the newer version //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif , though they sound identical. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

The Alpine Type-X components haven't really changed much in the last 5/6 years

The SPX-17REF is their newest set I believe, and it looks like they've finally changed the design now. I have no experience with that set, so I couldn't comment. If you're looking for a component set with some serious midbass, this is for you. They feel like two 8"s your doors. They get down deep and stay clean. I've had them at 75WRMS @ 4ohm, and I was more than satisfied. Same setup I'm running now. Pics up shortly, sorry about that.

As you can see from the pictures, everything is in fairly good condition.

Only flaws are that the alpine sign is missing from the tweeters. If you

aren't using the woofer grilles then you can take the sign from there and

put them on the tweeters, they come off fairly easily. If you must have

emblems on both I will open my doors and take the signs off of my tweeters.

Only other flaws, is that the covers for the crossovers are a bit dull, nothing

some scratch-x can't fix, and there's a bit of residue from sound deadning (tar)

on a few areas, (see pictures).

Looks: 7.5/10

Function: 10/10

Pictures of the CDA-9887 tonight

any idea how these differ from the SPX-17REF?
yep, new stuff uses aluminum cones - blah , older stuff with blueish cones are vifa made for Alpine, the best Alpine has out.

These might be mine also! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
