I have an alpine 9815, i have so many options that it drives me crazy, when i listen to a cd it sounds pretty good, then i switch to radio and it sound nasty, in my g/f car shes got a factory HU and speakers and her's sounds way better. Ive tried messing with the settings but i just cant get it right, what Hz should i set my amp at? i have my seetings on POP instead of rock because i listen to rap, i have my MX on and my bass knob turned halfway, today i also blew one of my comp vr's. i checked the voice coils and only one of them was blown and it had a burned smell, so i tossed it and replaced it with RF HE2 (same wattage).

first, it sounds like your gains are set to hell - go to the sticky in the install forum about setting your gains properly...

so ur running a compvr and an he2 now? is that what ur saying? if so thats gonna sound like absolute crap man.
