Ok, I just got an Alpine 7875 cd-player and on the yellow power wire it says that I must connect it directly to the battery. I have a 93 Volvo 850 and I was wondering if that is really necessary. Would my stock wiring be good enough if it's 9 yrs. old? Why do they ask you to do this, what would happen if I don't?

v-drive gives you the 60x4 if its connected to the battery. if its not, it runs 45x4 i believe. if you want the extra wattage, use vdrive. if its too much of a hassle, you dont have to.
