Alphasonik setup

I'm currently running (2) 600 Series 12" Alphasonik subs rated @ 700RMS a piece

and the Amp is also Alphasonik which puts out only 900RMS @ 1ohm .

I'm kind of satisfied with this setup but it's not hitting as hard as I thought it would.

Power is 8 gauge, and I'm using 16Gauge speaker wires for them, but I put the wires together so would it be considered 8 gauge?

I also took out the plastic pieces for the terminals on the side of the box, and I think it has some effect on the sound ( wires could not fit into the holes).

Any suggestions? Any help will be appreciated.

Also should I trade these subs in for Alpine Type-R's?

Are they ported? Is it a prefab box?

You could also increase the power. Get a larger amp.

Run 1/0 wire if it's not that much of a hassle when you buy a new amp. You may see a small difference after upgrading your amp.

Ported and tuned to 32Hz. 2 cubic feet for each sub.
