Stupid noob. Just because they've sold more doesn't mean JL is better. They started out as a no-name company that ran out of a small audio shop. Fi, Sundown, IA, etc. have all been brutally tested and have been proven to be up to the challenge. JL is good, but WAY overpriced. The 1000/1 is a nice amp. But most people would prefer 4x the performance from another proven product for $300 less with manufacturer's warranty.
