Almost got pulled over

all you have to do is have your parents with you when you take the lisence exam... its not like you have to document your hours, if your parents say you did, they dont ask questions.

I think you have nothing to worry about driving with your restricted. Just make sure to follow the rules of the road with a vengence if you dont want to take any chances. Ive been driving 2 years, never been pulled over.

to my understanding about the 40hours, thats in order to get the license when ur 16.

hmm well... then maybe you cant drive to and fro school with that. Check with your DMV, theyd know
even if i can, they will say no because they dont want people with restricteds driving around, and the people in my dmv are pissy as hell.

I love being legal. A cop rolls by I could give a hairy nut sack what he does. As long as I'm not speeding.

It's funny most of the people who actually hate cops, are the ones who are or have broken the law. Minus the 5% of people who were actually screwed over by a cop.

Must have a parent or 21+ year old with you to drive, need to get ~50 hours of driving in, yep that's a permit in Michigan. Next step up from that is a restricted liscense which is your first real liscense. With a restricted liscense, you can only drive between the hours of like 6am-12pm I think it is. After a set time period (I don't remember what it is, 6 monthes I think) you recieve your graduated liscense which has no restrictions. I'm not sure how they do it in Florida but that's the way Michigan goes.

i got pulled over with a permit only once. the cop gave me a $160 fine. i was so lucky my permit was almost up and ready for my drivers license. so the day i got my licence, i went down to the court house and showed them my licence and the lady lowered it to $25.

Most cops I have ever had to deal with have been fairly decent folk (maybe I've just been lucky?!) But take into account that whenever I've ever gotten pulled over for (insert moving violation here) and it was a legit stop, as in I was actually doing something wrong, I've always been like "Yes Sir, No Sir, here's my paperwork Sir."

Other occasions I've been stopped for whatever 'cause the cop needed something to do other than read his comic book I'm normally pretty beligerant. My license and registration are current and I have legal insurance (Louisiana, like most states, is a mandatory liability insurance state) so what are they gonna do? Write me a ticket because the lights on my license plate are red instead of white? Pfft...

anyways i just called the DMV, and they told me in NO TIME u should drive alone with a restricted unless its an emergency, why would they say that?
Maybe because it's the law in your state //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
