i Dont plan for my next system to hit that hard. Im putting this in my RX-7. I still want to hit at least 140 or more. Whats Specs on a XXX and would u take that over a DD or Adire Sub.

just under 1kw works...

150 in MECA.. linear X.. which means it would turn a 150 in any org.. dash legal, using Termlab, or Audiocontrol meters

I could barely get 144 out of 2 12s with 1200 on each. I used Audiocontrol...what type of box???

now rangerman we all know your a great guy for caraudio and spl but your talkin to the SPL man i don't see how he got those kind of #'s either but it's loyd i believe it. i'm happy i'm hitting a mid to lower 140's with my 2 12"s and 1kw rms oh well. i agree with one of the first posts about your subs i think loyd said it, who gives a **** what people on here say as long as your happy honestly. i mean no one on here likes MA audio you don't see me spouting out high #'s to try and look cool i know what my amp can do and i like it. that's what caraudio is all about what you like.

Yes Loyd does crazy shit with subs, that I can only dream of doing...he is definitly the SPL master...even if he does get screwed over at comps...*cough* cone switch *cough*

I used Scotty of team H&K's lin-x meter to check my spl gain from the sealed box to the ported box (thanks for the help lloyd. that 5cuft sum-bich weighs more than my g/f!) Before using his god-forsaken meter, I was under the impression that even my sealed box was comp-worthy. Per the audiocontrol meter I checked it with before, i was doing easy 142's and even low 143's.......pretty kickass for a single 12" sub sealed, right? Wrong! Scotty's "Devil Meter" puts me at consistant 138's up to mid 139's....what's the fruckin deal!??! I didn't gain much with the ported enclosure, either.....maybe it's how my ports are aimed....anyway, back to the old drawing board, I guess.

a good spl sub for under 400 bux is L7 solo baric, i know a 12 is 349, but i dont know about a 15. but a 12 would probly be better than ur earthquake 15.

I know for a fact a 12L7 cant take my quake. I Know the 15" can. I dont want JL, Kicker, or Fosgate. Used all there products. Im down with tryin somethin new Though, so Tell me Some Good Hittin 15"s
