All speakers are working but some are very faint...

Here is the deal I have a Walmart special Pioneer deck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif With a 500 watt rms Memphis mono block running a 15 Memphis sub. I just got a RE Audio 500 RMS 4 channel amp. I'm currently getting music from all speakers. but the front right and back left are extremely quite. I have tried adjusting my amp, switching RCA cables. I dont get why if its making noise why its not louder! I can switch the RCA's and then the Front left and the back right speakers work so it just switches. Any help would be appreciated.

It just doesn't make sense to me that there is sound playing through the speakers its just much quieter. Pretty much to the point where you think its not on. But if you get close enough you can tell its on. I dont think its a connections thing because when I switch the rca's it switches what speakers are not working properly..

Could be a bad channel on the amp. Switch the speakers out that are on the channel, so you will know if it's the channel or not. Does that make sense?

Channel 1 and 2 have zero activity when I tried switch channel 3 and 4 to 1 and 2. Is that top row of channels thats 1 and 2 shot?
What's the model number on the amp??

Sounds like those channels are bad....I could be wrong, obviously. So when you hooked the speakers up to channels 3&4 you got good sound right??

To me it sounds like this:

First you don't have the RCAs oriented correctly in the back of the radio (probably using Y splitters) so that's why its not the whole fronts or whole rears or left or right.

Turn the radio off (hold down source which is probably the center knob). Push and hold it again until you get the options menu come up. Scroll over and it should say preout: sub, change that to rear. There's a set of RCAs that are switchable rear/sub on the radio and it comes set as "sub" from the factory.

What model is the deck?

Have you ever adjusted the fade/balance to adjust the levels?

What you could do is take the RCA channels that give you good output and use an RCA "y" splitter to send the signal from front left (to the front left and back left channel on the amp) and back right output (to the front right and back right channel on the amp.)

Smartie pants :p

yah, need to know the model of the head, or at least if it has 3 pairs of rca's for front, rear, and sub, or if you have to use 1, or 2 sets. you are getting some good signal, so i assume that there is more than one pair. it could be that you need to have it at full-range on al 4 channels, if there is only the 4 coming out. this wouldn't be a problem, because you could use the out on the 4channel amp to send the signal to sub amp... still need to know your info first, though. these are just blind ideas.
